The Empire Strikes Black I & II was presented in the exhibition Great Movements of Feeling, curated by Zara Sigglekow. The exhibition considers emotion as a cognitive and bodily force that drives, circulates and sticks. With discursive and centrifugal ambitions, this exhibition observes human emotion through personal and historic lenses. Part of Next Wave Festival Emerging Curators Program 2018 it includes new commissions by Megan Cope (Quandamooka), Gertrude Studio Artist Alumni Helen Grogan (Australia), Nik Pantazopoulos (Australia) and Stuart Ringholt (Australia); Sriwhana Spong (New Zealand/United Kingdom), Sue Williamson (South Africa), and a Medieval Flemish stained glass panel (artist(s) unknown).
